Legendary Charles Schumann creates Tomodachi: the cocktail in which Nonino Grappa meets the taste of Japan
To toast 2026, mixology star Charles Schumann, in his Munich bar, created Tomodachi—”friend” in Japanese—a cocktail born from a refined blend
of Italy and Japan.
This elegant composition combines Grappa Nonino Riserva AnticaCuvée® Aged 5 Years, sake, amber vermouth, and Amaro Nonino Quintessentia®, in the name of the philosophy Be brave, mix grappa!
Nonino Grappa gives depth and enveloping notes of vanilla and dried fruit; sake adds a silky texture, whereas vermouth introduces a sweet-bitter balance, made even more complex by a few dashes of Amaro Nonino Quintessentia®.
Thank you Charles Schumann!
