On Sunday 29th September, at the Theater of the Casino of Sanremo, there was the announcement of the winner of the European competition for the Best Sommelier of Europe: Arvid Rosengren from Sweden.
The competition, which takes place every three years, was attended by the best Sommeliers coming from 37 different countries.
The Competition, which took place in four intense days, was directed by ASPI (Italian professional Sommelier Association), and for the final toast of all the events they wanted Grappa Nonino Riserva AnticaCuvèe and the new Grappa Nonino Riserva 8 years in barriques!
The Competition for the Best Sommelier of Europe is a prestigious competition reserved exclusively to “talented” professional Sommeliers coming from all over Europe and its aim is to contribute to the development of Somellierie; a profession that owes its evolution to competitiveness and to the spirit of emulation among the colleagues, generated by highly selective competitions that favor privileged exchanges and the diffusion and knowledge of the profession of the Sommelier.
