ÙE® Monovitigno® Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Harvest 1888. Aged 27 years in the Nevers Oak barrique n.410. Rich and persistent.
Very limited, dated and numbered production.

9th August 1989: In the ageing cellars of Cristina, Antonella and Elisabetta the ageing of ÙE® Grape Spirit, unique for innovation and research, begins in Nevers Oak barriques.  17th March 2017: The Nonino Family, from its Ageing Cellars under seal and permanent surveillance by the Custom and Monopoly agency, draws ÙE® Monovitigno® Gran Riserva, the Grape Spirit aged 27 years in the Nevers Oak barrique No. 410.

27th November 1984: Benito and Giannola Nonino created the Grape Spirit ÙE® by distilling the skin, pulp and grape juice in a single operation. Ministerial Authorization for the production of Grape Spirit (D.M. 20.10.84) was granted following a specific request by the Noninos. ÙE® the Grape Spirit combines within it the elegance of wine distillate and the character of the Grappa.

    Discontinuous with head and tail cutting, in copper steam stills.

  • Bottling

    Hand bottled in a flying hand blown transparent phial 700 ml, with 24 carat gold silk screen, dated and numbered. Cork and metal stopper with 24 carat gold bath closed with a true leather fastener and, aside, crystal and 24 carat gold stopper.

    It should be served at room temperature in a wide balloon type glass.

Monovitigno® Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Harvest 1988, harvested fresh and at correct ripeness,to keep intact the fragrances and flavors of the vine varieties of origin.

Very limited, dated and numbered production.

Fermentation


Under vacuum in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperature, immediately
followed by distillation in order to avoid harmful secondary fermentations.

Natural Ageing


Natural Ageing – Beginning of ageing in the family’s cellars 9th August 1988 in the Nevers Oak barrique nr. 410. @ Drawn out on 17th March 2017 Anhydrous liters 159 equal to 505 philas 700 ml. Bottled without color additives.

100% Distilled with artisanal method


Batch method with the removal of the heads and the tails in special artisanal batch steam stills created by Benito Nonino for the distillation of grapes. The distillation happens very slowly to allow the volatile components, responsible for the perfumes, a proper evaporation period and subsequent condensation, in order to keep intact the precious organoleptic characteristics of the chosen vines varieties.

Sensations


Visual Sensation – Very intense and velvety amber color.

Olfactory Sensation – It is sensual and persistent with scents of raspbetty, red fruit, jam, grapes and plums, candied fruit, vanilla, spices and dark chocolate.

Tasting Sensation – Its taste is rich and spicy with clear confirmation of the aromatic nuances of the Refosco Peduncolo Rosso vine variety. Long persistency.

Unique for innovation and Research, contradicting the literature on wood ageing that suggests the ageing in barriques of neutral distillates, preserves the elegant characteristics of its vines.
