Primary Product

The pomace, collected when it is fresh and soft, is selected from Merlot grapes from dedicated production zones.

Production strictly dependent on the individual year’s harvest.

Under vacuum in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperature, immediately
followed by distillation in order to avoid harmful secondary fermentations.

From six months to a year in stainless steel tanks.

100% Distilled with artisanal method

Batch method with head and tail removal, in particular and exclusive copper steam stills renewed by Benito Nonino. Distillation takes place very slowly to allow the volatile components, responsible of the fragrances, a proper evaporation and the consequent condensation preserving the precious organoleptic characteristics of vine variety chosen.

Crystalline, soft and round with a scent of rose petals and cherry stones. On the nose, the freshness of the bouquet recalls the smell of must pressing.
It should be served at about 12°C or in an icy open tulip shaped glass. Before tasting, Grappa should rest in the glass for some minutes: taking oxygen the fragrances are exalted and the nose-palate harmony is completed.

Il Merlot individually available in a water painted wooden case, with silver color silk screen and leather fastener, only in the 700 ml capacity.
Merlot Mojito, Mojito con Grappa Nonino

Mint Sprig.

Merlot Mojito

Merlot Mojito is the twist of the Mojito with Grappa Nonino Monovitigno® Merlot. On the occasion of the Bar Convent Berlin Joerg Meyer accepts Antonella Nonino’s challenge: Be Brave Mix Grappa! In this way Joerg rrevises a great classic of mixology, the Mojito, but with Nonino grappa. The result is surprising: a seducing mojito that soon invites to a second sip. The Merlot Mojito is the Mojito with the Italian taste that conquers.

Drunk, sipped, savored at the end of a meal or at any moment of the day, it is a source of real pleasure! One or two spoonfuls of Grappa Nonino Monovitigno® can be added after toasting the rice, to enhance the aroma of a risotto or when roasting meat you can pour in a small glass of Grappa Nonino half-way through the cooking.
